The bureau has developed a concept of entertainment known as the b.o.l.t. lounge. the lounge consists of early video-gaming stations including pong, atari, intellivision, coleco, early handheld electronic games, and early computer systems such as the TRS-80, Apple II, and Amiga.

the b.o.l.t. lounge is installed at social events, usually underground music and art events in the San Francisco Bay Area. the lounge has become a kind of small monument to low-technology emphasizing low-bit color and abstracted forms of human-machine interaction for the purposes of entertainment and competition. the gaming lounge is however presented in a very high-tech manner, often utilizing large-format digital projection technology and a kind of futuristic display. The ironic and humorous aspects of b.o.l.t. provide a fun, nostalgic addition to these events and the overall party vibe.

check out our events page for current events where you can experience for yourself the bureau's low-tech lounge.

if you are interested in booking the bureau for your event, please email the bureau.
